Reporting to the Ultrasound Manager, the Sonographer Supervisor will lead a team of Ultrasound Technicians at our Airdrie Trail Clinic as well as deliver exceptional care to all our patients in a respectful, compassionate, and welcoming environment. As a Pureform and PureKids Sonographer you will perform and communicate the results of diagnostic examinations to the Radiologists. A successful candidate maintains the highest level of medical ethics at all times and is driven to continually improve their level of understanding and knowledge in this field.

The Supervisor will establish an environment where there is open communication, learning and development opportunities, and promote and foster collaboration and teamwork.
Other daily responsibilities of the Supervisor role include mentoring, training, and coaching technicians, organizing and conducting regular team meetings, ensuring there is regular updates and open communication to the team, overseeing Sonographer's daily tasks such as conducting scans or training sonographers , quality assurance, and overseeing the day-to-day operations of equipment and quality control.
Qualifications & Skills:
The following requirements must be met by an applicant to be considered for the position:
Graduate of a recognized formal Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program.
2 + years of sonography experience.
Active certification and member in good standing with Sonography Canada with current Professional Liability Insurance.
Ability to perform a wide range of sonographic exams.
An experienced technologist who is excited to share their knowledge with the team while learning Pureform protocols.
Ability to coach, train, and motivate a team.
Ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
Exceptional problem solving and communication skills.
Competency with Windows-based computer programs (Sharepoint, Excel, Word).
Breast, MSK, and Pediatric experience an asset.
Proficiency in English is required. All work is done in English.
Leadership Skills:
Prior leadership experience as an Ultrasound Supervisor considered a desirable asset.
Course work or education in Management and Leadership training considered an asset.
Proven ability to lead, mentor, and motivate a team with diverse personalities.
Adaptability mindset with a demonstrated ability to swiftly respond to different dynamics, pivot when needed, and embrace new opportunities and challenges.
Comfortable implementing new protocols and clearly communicating changes.
Ability to deliver honest feedback and have difficult conversations.
Proven ability and passion for training and developing a team.
Collaborative and pro-active leadership skills.
