Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Sonographer to join our healthcare team. The Sonographer will be responsible for performing diagnostic ultrasound examinations on patients, ensuring high-quality imaging results while providing excellent patient care. This role requires a deep understanding of medical terminology and the ability to communicate effectively with patients and medical staff.

Duties

Conduct ultrasound examinations, including but not limited to abdominal, obstetric, gynecological, and vascular studies. Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process and ensuring their comfort. Operate ultrasound equipment and ensure proper functionality before each examination. Analyze images for quality and accuracy, making adjustments as necessary to obtain optimal results. Document findings and prepare reports for physicians to aid in diagnosis and treatment planning. Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to all safety protocols and regulations.

Skills

Proficient in medical terminology relevant to sonography and diagnostic imaging. Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify abnormalities in images. Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients and medical staff. Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Compassionate demeanor with a commitment to patient care and comfort.

Requirements

Active credentialed member of Sonography Canada 1 year scanning experience in a Canadian hospital or clinic setting Echocardiography experience preferred Proficiency is English is required, all work is done in English

Pay: $45.00-$55.00 per hour
