DLS Technology Corporation is seeking a highly skilled

DevSecOps Engineer

for a contract role to design, implement, and secure modern CI/CD pipelines, cloud infrastructure, and automation frameworks. The ideal candidate will be responsible for embedding security controls into the software development lifecycle, maintaining secure deployment pipelines and implementing Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC). This role requires strong experience across modern DevOps, cloud, and security technologies, along with the ability to collaborate effectively with development and operations teams. The successful candidate must be willing to operate as an

The ideal candidate for this position

must have Secret Clearance

, and may be required to provide references, as well. This project is anticipated to start in January 2026.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Develop, implement, and maintain secure CI/CD pipelines

, integrating automation tools for building, testing, scanning, and deploying applications across multiple environments.

Embed security controls and best practices into the software development lifecycle (SDLC)

, ensuring security is treated as a core requirement from design through deployment.

Implement Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC)

using tools such as

OpenShift, Terraform, Ansible, Azure Resource Manager (ARM), Azure Resource Monitoring

, and similar technologies to automate provisioning, configuration, and governance of cloud and on-prem infrastructure.

Monitor, investigate, and respond to security alerts originating from CI/CD pipelines

, ensuring timely remediation of issues and continuous protection of development workflows.

Collaborate closely with development, operations, and cloud engineering teams

to drive the adoption of secure coding, secure configuration baselines, and hardened deployment practices.

Manage secrets, credentials, and sensitive configuration data securely

, leveraging tools such as

Azure Key Vault

or equivalent secret management solutions.

Conduct threat modeling and risk assessments

for pipeline components, deployment workflows, and infrastructure configurations to identify vulnerabilities and recommend mitigations.

Ensure ongoing compliance

with internal security policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements, supporting audit preparation and documentation as needed.

Continuously evaluate, refine, and enhance DevSecOps tools, processes, and practices

, recommending improvements based on evolving technologies and industry trends.

Stay current with emerging DevSecOps, security, and cloud-native technologies

, applying new insights to strengthen the organization's security posture.

REQUIREMENTS:

Must have:

Education:




Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

Experience



3+ years of hands-on experience in DevOps, DevSecOps, or Cloud Security Engineering. Proven experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and automating deployment workflows. Hands-on experience implementing Infrastructure-as-Code using tools such as

Terraform

, Ansible, ARM,

OpenShif

t, etc. Experience embedding security controls into DevOps pipelines and cloud environments.

Technical skills:



Strong understanding of CI/CD platforms, pipeline orchestration, and secure automation. Proficiency with

Azure

cloud services, including Azure Resource Manager, Azure Monitoring, and Azure Key Vault. Knowledge of containerization platforms (e.g., OpenShift, Kubernetes) and automated configuration tools. Experience in security scanning, SAST/DAST, compliance automation, and secure coding practices. Knowledge of ITIL, security frameworks, and cloud governance best practices.

Soft skills:



Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills. You must be an Independent Contractor with your own Liability Insurance.
