We are looking for an enthusiastic, collaborative individual to join our IT Team as our DevOps Engineer.

THE DETAILS:

You\'ll be joining our Head Office team at 70 Lexington Park, in a full-time capacity.

  • As a DevOps Engineer, your role is to automate, streamline and maintain technology solutions that strengthen development, QA, operations, and delivery processes with a mindset to leverage scientific and data-driven approaches
  • You will build and maintain infrastructure for development, testing and production environments.
  • You will work with Atlassian suite of team management products
  • You will develop applications using Kotlin, Java (OOP), and React; configure and implement serverless compute function (AWS Lambda)
  • You will develop and monitor reporting on various KPIs, including team performance, delivery schedules, technology growth, and production health
  • You will develop and utilize REST API components and work with distributed source control (Git)
  • You will troubleshoot various issues in any stage of development (testing, demo, staging and production) and provide results to stakeholders in a clear, actionable format
  • You will participate in code reviews and provide feedback to team members
  • You will monitor and improve the performance and reliability of production systems
  • You will develop a roadmap to advance DevOps strategy
  • You will participate in other tasks and duties as assigned
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE:
  • Bachelor\'s degree in computer science, information technology, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in a DevOps/automation tools and approaches
  • Strong software development skills
  • Deep understanding of Agile software development methodologies
  • Experience in creating and reviewing technical documentation
  • Working knowledge of relational modelling and database systems
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate with multiple departments
  • Versed to explain technical concepts and theories to non-technical audiences
  • Highly developed understanding of industry regulations, standards, and best practices
  • Proven track record with product delivery, ability to meet deadlines, development of project plans, and results oriented
