The Role

Tactable is looking for a hands-on, technically skilled

DevOps Engineer

to design, implement, and manage scalable infrastructure that supports our growing portfolio of high-impact software projects. In this pivotal role, you'll work closely with development teams to ensure reliable CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, and modern observability practices across cloud environments. Job Responsibilities:

Design, implement, and manage scalable, secure, and reliable infrastructure on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. Automate deployment processes and manage CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and GitLab CI. Containerize and orchestrate Java and Python applications using Docker and Kubernetes. Collaborate closely with development teams to ensure seamless integration, testing, and deployment workflows. Migrate Jenkins-based jobs to GitHub Actions to streamline CI/CD operations. Implement and manage Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or CloudFormation. Set up and maintain monitoring, alerting, and logging systems using Prometheus, Grafana, and the ELK Stack.

Required Core Skills:

Proven experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) Expertise in containerization technologies: Docker and Kubernetes Experience containerizing both Java and Python applications Strong knowledge of CI/CD processes and tooling (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI) Scripting proficiency in Python, Bash, or similar languages Experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform or CloudFormation) Familiarity with observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK)

Nice to Have:

Experience with GitHub Enterprise Server Experience with service mesh (e.g., Istio, Linkerd) Knowledge of security best practices in cloud and container environments Exposure to Agile development practices
