NTT DATA Services currently seeks a DevOps Engineerto remotely join our team in

Halifax, Nova Scotia.





We are seeking a DevOps Engineer to partner with application development teams in automating and streamlining the development, testing, deployment, and release of applications into production environments. This role requires experience in release operations and deployment management, as well as expertise in continuous delivery solutions within cloud platforms.



The ideal candidate will be skilled in using key tools for managing Azure resources and supporting efficient, reliable application delivery.



Responsibilities

The DevOps Engineer will implement and manage CI/CD practices and tools to support reliable application releases. This role involves release deployments, troubleshooting errors throughout the release deployment lifecycle, cloud infrastructure management, collaborating with team members to optimize delivery processes, and overseeing application deployment, monitoring, and support to maintain system health.



The engineer will provide operational support across multiple environments, and ensure effective controls over development, testing, and source code. Strong problem-solving skills, communication and a commitment to ongoing learning is essential for success.



Responsibilities Include:



Involvement in the entire lifecycle of system development and operations. Maintain services in development environments by monitoring availability, latency, and overall system health using cloud tools and best practices. Evolve systems by implementing changes that improve reliability and performance. Gather and analyze metrics from both operating systems and applications to assist in performance tuning and fault finding. Identify and implement opportunities for automation, process improvement, and architecture improvements. Collaborate to define best practices and standards around DevOps. Maintain technical documentation, workflows, and knowledge base articles. Help troubleshoot and identify root cause analysis on system incidents/issues/outages using cloud monitoring tools.


Required Qualifications



7+ years Hands-on experience with GitHub Actions for CI/CD pipeline automation. 5+ years Proficiency with Terraform for infrastructure as code and cloud resource management. 5+ years Demonstrated ability to deploy applications using Helm in Kubernetes environments. 7+ years Strong understanding of Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) fundamentals, including Azure CLI, kubectl CLI and K9s. 5+ years Experience building and managing Azure Data Factory (ADF) pipelines and familiarity with related features. 5+ years Solid foundation in Azure Databricks (ADB) platform operations. 3+ years Working knowledge of key Azure resources, especially Synapse, Hyperscale, Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Aggregation Gateway, and Log Analytics Workspace. 5+ years Experience managing virtual machines and Integration Runtime (IR) software. 5+ years Understanding certificate management fundamentals (TLS, OpenSSL, Cert-Manager), including monitoring and validating certificate expiration. 5+ years Experience using Dynatrace for debugging, including inspection of memory and CPU utilization. 5+ years Proficiency in Splunk Enterprise portal for logging and alert fundamentals. 7+ years Knowledge of DevOps and release deployment engineering fundamentals and best practices. 3+ years of basic understanding of security vulnerability management, including library and package version control. 5+ years Experience with Artifactory management tools, such as JFrog. 2+ years Familiarity with Docker fundamentals, including Dockerfile creation and container image building. 5+ years Proven experience collaborating in a team environment, with strong crossteam communication skills.
