How will I make an impact?

As the DevOps Engineer, reporting to the DevOps Manager, you will automate and streamline our processes and tools to enable our software development to evolve and improve our product deliveries and timelines.

Within your first 30 days, you will be required to maintain and improve our devops infrastructure. You will also spend time with the Research and Development team to understand their needs, and identify how to automate processes to help make our code more efficient and more secure.
This role requires you to be open-minded, think critically, and enjoy coming up with solutions that may be "outside the box."

Day in the Life:

Agile - Building and maintaining development tools and infrastructure. Planning out projects and being involved in project management decisions.

Automation - Work on ways to automate and improve development and release processes. Putting processes and tools in place to automatically detect vulnerabilities in source code & 3rd party dependencies.

Safety First - Ensure that systems are safe and secure against cybersecurity threats. Ensuring critical build systems and artifacts are backed up in conjunction with our IT team\xe2\x80\x99s policy.

Collaborate - Assisting developers with DevOps issues, providing guidance and best practices.

SBOM - Creating and maintaining tools to produce a Software Bill of Materials.

Champion Shinydocs Culture - Lead by example; Everyone on the Shinydocs team (including you!) contributes to and defines our company culture.

You Have:

• A data-driven or data-informed mindset.
• Knowledge of programming or scripting languages.
• Strong knowledge of Agile principles, Jenkins, docker, Jira, building .net projects, and Git source control.
• Knowledge of building java projects using Gradle and knowledge of VMware ESXI.
• Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux system administration.
• Experience integrating security best practices into the DevOps process.
