We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Developmental Support Workers to provide essential assistance to individuals with diverse needs. This role involves working closely with people with disabilities, supporting their daily activities, and promoting independence within a caring and respectful environment. Experience in special education, caregiving, or working with individuals with disabilities is highly valued.

Duties

Assist clients with daily living activities such as personal hygiene, grooming, and mobility Support participation in community activities and recreational programs to promote social engagement Administer medications following prescribed instructions and document accordingly Communicate effectively using verbal skills or American Sign Language as needed Provide emotional support and encouragement to foster independence and confidence Collaborate with team members, families, and healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans Maintain accurate records of services provided and any changes in client condition Ensure a safe environment by adhering to safety protocols and reporting concerns promptly

Requirements

Experience or training in special education or caregiving preferred Working knowledge of working with people with disabilities required Ability to communicate effectively through speech or American Sign Language is a plus Compassionate attitude with excellent communication skills and patience Ability to administer medications safely following prescribed guidelines Valid background check and ability to pass any required training or certification processes Flexibility to work various shifts as needed, including weekends or evenings if necessary

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Casual

Pay: $21.00-$24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 - 40 per week
