About This Opportunity
We are hiring full-time and part-time Residential & Respite Counsellors to provide hands-on personal care and support to individuals with complex needs. This role focuses on supporting individuals in both our Residential and Respite Programs, helping them with daily living activities, personal care, and meaningful engagement in their home and community.

What You'll Do
Support individuals in our Residential & Respite Programs
with all aspects of daily living
Provide personal care
, including bathing, dressing, feeding, and administering medication
Engage individuals in meaningful activities
- both at home and in the community
Ensure a safe and welcoming environment
, following policies and safety procedures
Assist with home maintenance
, including cooking and cleaning to maintain a comfortable living space
Collaborate with families, healthcare professionals, and the ORH team
to ensure quality care
Keep accurate records
related to individual care plans and agency requirements
Act as a liaison
between internal and external contacts, ensuring clear communication
Who Should Apply?
Developmental Service Workers (DSWs) strongly preferred
Personal Support Workers (PSWs), Early Childhood Educators (ECEs), and other care professionals
are also encouraged to apply
Experience in the Developmental Services sector is an asset
Candidates with experience supporting individuals with physical disabilities, medical complexities, or developmental delays

Qualifications & Requirements
Diploma or certificate in Developmental Services, Social Services, Child and Youth Work, Personal Support Work (PSW), or a related field
Experience supporting individuals with physical disabilities, complex medical needs, or intellectual disabilities is an asset
Current First Aid/CPR and Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) Certification (or willingness to obtain)
Clear Vulnerable Sector Criminal Record Check (within the last six months)
Commitment to continued learning - ability to complete ongoing training and maintain required certifications
