Position Title: DM

External Description:

Reporting to the Development Director, the Development Manager (DM\'s) manages the project schedule and leads the team through project phases while ensuring quality, collaboration and communication. You will partner with producers to ensure that they are managing the project on time, to quality, and within budget.

Role Responsibilities:

Collaborate with project partners to establish and assign tasks from defined project goals.

Partner with production to manage scope, quality, and timelines.

Determine the resource requirements to meet project requirements.

Manage risks and collaborate to remove blockers.

Track team progress on deliverables and provide updates.

Run stand-ups and planning meetings.

Work with subject matter experts of your team and ensure all workflow is clearly defined, processes are documented, and staff trained in expectations on the workflow.

Manage career development of direct reports, including development of individual development plans, and conducting regular one-on-ones.

Propose creative solutions to issues within the team, including process, strategy, and communication.

Lead issue escalations and action assessments.

Build and evolve the QV team: identify resourcing needs, provide challenging and developmental opportunities to ensure that all employees reach their potential.

Provide line management to employees within a single project team.

Communicate project expectations to the internal team and project partners.

Requirements:

Minimum of 2 years of project management or team leadership experience in a software dev environment.

1-2 years people management experience.

An understanding of game development, interdisciplinary dependencies and associated development risks.

Experience working within a collaborative team environment.

Familiarity with JIRA.

Education requirement University degree Bachelors or equivalent professional experience.
