DEVELOPMENT COORDINATOR
Reporting to the Senior Development Manager, the Development Coordinator ("DC") will assist and support the team by managing the day-to-day aspects of the development process. The DC will work closely with internal Investment Management, Asset Management, Leasing and Operations team to carry out their responsibilities. The role is also to assist as main point of communication for all stakeholders such as Investors, Asset Managers, Property Managers, Brokers, Tenants, and Consultants.
Responsibilities:

  • Conduct due diligence research to support activities for land acquisition.
  • Respond to inquiries and provide support to various CBP departments and consultants.
  • Assist the Development team with various planning applications (ex. Official Plan Amendment, Zoning By-law Amendment, Site Plan Applications and Minor Variances).
  • Coordinate with consultant teams to ensure submission materials are accurate and on schedule.
  • Maintain project related information in CBP's filing system.
  • Assist with managing project budgets, accounting requirements, invoices reviews and variance reporting as well as proforma inputs alongside the finance team.
  • Maintain cost tracking sheets and update as invoices are approved by Development Managers.
  • Maintain project schedules and prepare project updates.
  • Coordinate project marketing plans with the support from the internal Marketing team.
  • Monitor Provincial and Municipal initiated updates to planning regulations.
  • Support the Development Team as required throughout the development life cycle of a project from acquisition to turn over.
  • Other duties as reasonably required.

Qualifications:
  • Completion of a Post-Secondary degree or diploma in a related field is required (i.e. Planning, Architecture, Real Estate).
  • Working knowledge of Canadian planning frameworks.
  • Proactive individual, able to effectively manage various project priorities.
  • Works well in a cross-functional team environment and has a positive outlook and attitude.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to review complex agreements/legislation and succinctly summarize.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word and OneNote .
  • Experience in Yardi and MS Project is an asset.
  • Valid G Class Driver's License and access to own vehicle is an asset.
