POSITION

SUMMARY

:

As a Development Administrator, you are responsible for assisting the Development Team with day-to-day coordination and administration tasks.

The Development team takes a comprehensive approach, managing all aspects of project acquisition and implementing a thorough development and preconstruction program. This role offers the chance to experience the full project cycle, showcasing industry-leading expertise while working on some of the most exciting projects in the region.




RESPONSIBILITIES:




Collaborate with internal and external teams, including consultants and municipalities, on project tasks. Assist with issuing Requests for Proposals (RFPs), evaluating submissions, and making award recommendations. Help apply for necessary project approvals, compile permit packages, and track submissions for rezoning and various permits. Coordinate consultant drawings and deliverables, tracking progress throughout the project timeline. Compile and issue client invoices with the accounting department and manage consultant costs through contracts and purchase orders. Perform document control by reviewing and storing project documentation, ensuring compliance with Company policies and procedures. Assist in creating and packaging submissions for new project RFPs while managing deadlines and deliverables. Take meeting minutes, follow up on action items, and keep the Director of Development updated on project status and client relations. Learn to use municipal GIS tools, conduct market research, and draft formal correspondence. Assist in reviewing legal documents and preparing fee estimates for municipal and consulting services. Build and maintain professional relationships with clients and stakeholders, representing the Company positively. Engage in mandatory training and contribute to a safe and respectful workplace by adhering to safety policies and promoting awareness.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:




A post-secondary degree is required, with a focus on development and/or construction is preferred. Demonstrated ability to maintain a high level of professionalism in interactions with external clients and project stakeholders. Previous experience in real estate or development, which is considered an asset. Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Microsoft Project, and BlueBeam for project management and presentation purposes. Excellent written and verbal communication abilities, complemented by strong interpersonal skills to effectively engage with diverse stakeholders. Ability to stay organized and manage multiple tasks efficiently while setting and prioritizing workload effectively. Exceptional time management capabilities to meet deadlines and project milestones. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify issues and develop actionable solutions in a timely manner.
