:We are offering a unique opportunity for a Development Accountant in the Real Estate & Property industry in Vancouver, British Columbia. This role is a long-term contract position, focused on overseeing project accounts payable, assisting with system conversion, and managing reporting duties.Key responsibilities:

• Oversee the implementation and conversion of the Yardi system
• Supervise project accounts payable and ensure timely and accurate payment processing
• Carry out month-end responsibilities, including journal entries and job cost entries
• Manage bank reconciliations to ensure accurate financial records
• Conduct balance sheet reconciliations to maintain financial integrity
• Handle GST matters pertaining to real estate transactions
• Oversee quarter-end and year-end reporting to ensure compliance with industry standards
• Maintain financial records and ensure they are updated and accurate.

• Bachelor\'s degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant field required
• Proven work experience as a Development Accountant in the Real Estate & Property industry
• Proficiency in using Yardi accounting software
• Strong understanding of financial and accounting principles
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to interpret and analyze financial statements and periodicals
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
• Ability to work independently and in a team
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
