Rogers is seeking a Developer/Analyst – IP Access Transport Networks. You will leverage your exceptional analytical, written, and verbal communication skills to improve data analysis and visualization, reporting and drive network automation and orchestration programs for IP Access Transport network initiatives driven by 5G and Wireless Uplift programs, Service Expansion, Rogers Network Evolution (RNE). Please note that background checks are required as a condition of employment.
What you'll do:

• 
  Develop and improve reporting, data analysis and visualization for IP Radio Access Networks (IPRAN), Unified Access Transport (UAT), Optical and Microwave Transport networks.
• Develop network compliance reporting based on the criteria defined in Engineering Design Standards.
• Provide analytics to improve decision-making for Engineering, Planning and Operations teams.
• Gather data to report on current state of IP and Transport network devices, network topology and services; identify trends and patterns to simplify and accelerate problem resolution.
• Work with technical primes and OSS teams to drive network automation and orchestration improvements for IP Access and Transport networks.
• Work with technical primes to improve Unit Cost models.
• Participate in field trials and first office deployment projects for IPRAN and UAT.

What you'll bring:

• 
  Excellent analytical and data processing skills. Ability to analyze large data sets to uncover correlations, draw conclusions and build comprehensive cost models.
• Experience with advanced analytics in Excel, Access, Power BI, VBA and SQL.
• Basic understanding of IP networks and Service Provider Optical and Microwave Transport networks is beneficial.
• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Science or Mathematics preferred.
• New and recent graduates from the above-mentioned programs are encouraged to apply.
• Excellent business writing skills, particularly in report writing. Strong presentation skills.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision while managing multiple activities and work streams.
• Aptitude to work in cross-functional teams.
• Facilitates, influences and persuades the decision-making on technical issues.
• Provides technical advice and coaches project teams through issues.
• Originality and ingenuity are required for devising practical and economical solutions to problems.
