is responsible for developing, updating, and maintaining manufacturing planning documentation to ensure the accurate definition of processes used in the production of aircraft assemblies, subassemblies, and detail parts. This role involves analyzing and proposing engineering changes, supporting cross-functional teams-including Production, Quality, and Procurement-and resolving technical challenges to enhance manufacturing efficiency and product quality.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, revise, and maintain Engineering Masters (EM) and Work Instructions (WI) detailing part manufacturing processes, assembly methods, and special requirements.
Coordinate with the offshore team to proactively identify and resolve technical challenges, improving process efficiency and maintaining schedule adherence.
Prepare Manufacturing Instruction Sheets (MIS), sketches, and supporting process documents outlining manufacturing steps and special notes for structural, systems, and electrical installations.
Identify and specify tools, jigs, and fixtures required for efficient manufacturing and assembly operations.
Initiate and support Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) to improve quality, reduce cost, and optimize build processes, including Make vs. Buy evaluations.
Investigate and resolve production issues by analyzing root causes, assessing impacts, and implementing corrective actions.
Support continuous improvement initiatives and participate in internal and external audits.
Contribute to Non-Conformance Management and support planning for workflow efficiency.
Provide technical training and mentorship to production teams in alignment with Quality Management System (QMS) requirements.

Diploma or degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Minimum 7 years of experience in detail part manufacturing (sheet metal and machining), preferably within the aerospace industry.
Proven background in Manufacturing Engineering or Methods Engineering.
Strong knowledge of aircraft part fabrication and assembly processes.
Understanding of cost estimation, manufacturing economics, and aerospace engineering principles.
Experience or familiarity with FDM additive manufacturing and 3D printing technologies is an asset (e.g., Insight by Stratasys, Control Center by Stratasys).
* Proficient with MS Suite, CAD (e.g., CATIA, Autocad, Solid works, Mastercam) and ERP software.
