Job Summary:
We are seeking a proactive and customer-oriented
Desktop Support Engineer (L1)
for an onsite contract role in
Montreal
. The ideal candidate will be
bilingual in French and English
, with
1-2 years of hands-on IT support experience
. This is a critical short-term role requiring immediate availability.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide L1 desktop support to end-users, including troubleshooting hardware, software, and basic networking issues.
Perform installation, configuration, and maintenance of desktops, laptops, and peripherals.
Assist with password resets, account setup, and software installations.
Log, track, and update incidents and service requests in ticketing systems.
Escalate unresolved issues to higher-level support teams when necessary.
Deliver excellent customer service to all users, both in French and English.
Support users face-to-face in an onsite corporate environment.
Requirements:
1-2 years of experience in a desktop support or IT helpdesk role.
Bilingual -
Fluent in both French and English
(verbal and written).
Basic understanding of Windows OS, MS Office, and common desktop applications.
Familiarity with hardware troubleshooting and basic network support.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
