Job Title: Level 1 IT Technician - Desktop Support

Schedule:
Core business hours are Monday to Friday 8:30 am - 5:00 pm, with occasional weekend and evening rotation.
Position Overview:
We're looking for a technically strong IT Support Technician who is passionate about delivering excellent customer service and eager to grow their technical skills. In this role, you'll support client issues, handling both onsite and remote requests. You'll work closely with our Level 2 and Level 3 technicians, gaining exposure to a wide range of technologies in a collaborative, learning-focused environment.
This isn't a "reset passwords all day" kind of job. This is an ideal position for somebody already comfortable in complex support situations but wants to continue building towards a full L2 role.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide technical support for client hardware, software, and networks both remotely and onsite.
Create, manage, and resolve helpdesk tickets promptly, ensuring clear communication with clients.
Set up, configure, and maintain IT assets (desktops, laptops, tablets, smartphones, printers, copiers, and networking hardware)
Own and improve our bench work processes
Assist with user and account management (Active Directory, Azure AD, Microsoft 365, Intune, etc.)
Supporting networking configurations and troubleshooting beyond basic connectivity
Perform basic to intermediate tasks on Servers
Escalate complex issues to senior technicians as required
Deliver professional, friendly, and solution-oriented customer service
Required Skills & Experience:
2 years of IT Support experience
Experience with Microsoft Windows environments and Microsoft 365 administration
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt to new technologies quickly
Basic understanding of networking fundamentals (switches, routers, Wi-Fi, TCP/
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
A valid Ontario driver's license
Bonus Skills:
Experience with Apple and/or Linux operating systems
Previous MSP or helpdesk experience
Familiarity with server administration
