Starkey is hiring a Design Technician. If you have excellent typing, computer, and communication skills and have the ability to follow directions, this position may be a fit for you. The Design Technician position is responsible for ensuring the quality, timeliness and accuracy of all hearing aids are designed, analyzed to improve errors. OB SUMMARY DESCRIPTION / PRIMARY PURPOSE OF JOB





This position is responsible for ensuring the quality, timeliness and accuracy of all hearing aids are designed, analyzed to improve the DE and ST errors. Design and analyze all new orders accurately

OB RESPONSIBILITIES/RESULTS



Performs at least four of the following job functions: IIC, CE Design, CC Design, CIC Design, Ear mold Design, Remake Analyzing, Repair Response Adjustment, Technical Support, Audiogram verification and AOR entry.


Provide technical information to customers. Provide a dispenser with new products or technical information when necessary. Contact dispenser with technical information (if needed). Keep supervisor informed regarding consistent complaints Collect field failure data and report to supervisor.

Ensure all hearing aid information is entered into the computer timely and accurately.


Check analyzing to ensure consistency and correct Design. Maintain workflow to production and order processing.

Act as a liaison between customer and production.


Answer questions about capabilities of specific design matrices and options Ensure document manual is up to date Perform other duties/responsibilities as assigned

Job Requirements



Minimum Education and Experience


High School Diploma in Electronics/Acoustic is a plus or equivalent required

Competencies, Skills and Ability





Ability to read and comprehend work instructions. Good communication skills required. Excellent attention to detail required. Good organization skills required. Good hand-eye coordination required. Ability to communicate in French desired.

Work Context



Working Conditions





Stand approximately 15% of day and sit approximately 85% of the day. Regular attendance and responsiveness to reasonable job-related directives as given by the supervisor May have noise and dust in work area
