About the Role:
Wuxly is seeking a Design & Technical Product Developer to support our Design and Product Development team across design, technical, and development functions. This role contributes to pattern work, tech packs, fittings, marker support, and material sourcing while collaborating closely with design, product development, sourcing, and the sample room to bring products from concept through production.
This position is ideal for someone early in their career who enjoys variety, collaboration, and hands-on learning, and who is eager to build strong technical and design skills within a performance-driven apparel environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Design & Technical Supporto Support pattern development, adjustments, and preparation for sampling and grading
Assist with marker layout and fabric-efficient cutting plans
Create and maintain tech packs, including measurements, construction details, and BOMs
Develop flats and technical drawings using Adobe Illustrator
Operate the plotter to print patterns and markers
Fit, Development & Collaborationo Participate in fitting sessions and document fit, pattern, and construction feedback
Collaborate with design, product development, and the sample room to ensure product accuracy
Support resolution of basic fit, construction, and development issues under guidance
Responsibilities may flex based on project needs, with team members supporting one another across functions
Materials & Sourcing Supporto Support sourcing of fabrics, trims, and raw materials
Organize swatches, material libraries, and supplier information
Communicate with suppliers as needed under guidance from senior team members
What We're Looking For:
Education & Experienceo Diploma or degree in Fashion Design, Pattern Making, Apparel Production, or a related field
1-3 years of relevant experience in design or product development
Working knowledge of Gerber for basic pattern and marker work
Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator for flats and tech packs
Comfortable using Microsoft 365 (Word, Teams, OneDrive, etc.)
Basic understanding of garment construction, fit, and fabric usage
Skills & Attributeso Detail-oriented, organized, and technically curious
Eager to learn and develop across multiple areas of product development
Collaborative, adaptable, and comfortable supporting a range of tasks
Strong communication skills and a positive team mindset
Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
