Position Overview
We are seeking a Design & Manufacturing Engineer to join our engineering team at our Ingersoll, Ontario facility. This role will focus on product design, process improvement, and injection molding manufacturing support. The ideal candidate will have strong CAD and product design skills, experience with plastic manufacturing and automation processes, experience quoting products and a proven ability to bring concepts from initial design through to production.
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop new products, taking concepts from idea to production launch.
Create detailed 3D CAD models, engineering drawings, and technical documentation.
Work with partners to create efficient and high-quality molds, & ancillary tools.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize manufacturing processes and implement process improvements.
Work as a key contributor of the quote team .
Work closely with injection molding operations, including material selection, tooling design, and troubleshooting to give technical input and direction.
Lead design reviews and apply design-for-manufacturing principles to ensure cost-effective and high-quality production.
Support continuous improvement initiatives in manufacturing efficiency, quality, and safety.
Interface with tooling vendors, automation partners, and suppliers as needed for production support.
Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor's Degree or College Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field.
3+ years of product design experience, preferably in industrial or manufacturing settings.
Proficiency in 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar tools.
Experience with plastics and injection molding processes.
Strong problem-solving skills and a focus on continuous improvement.
Ability to work cross-functionally and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical teams.
Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies considered an asset.

Pay: $60,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
