We are seeking a talented Design Manager to join our team in Spruce Grove. In this role, you will oversee the design processes for our utility projects, ensuring alignment with client specifications and industry standards. Your contributions will be vital in advancing our mission to provide comprehensive utility installation services.

The Role:

Overseeing a dedicated group in the engineering, planning and drafting of telecommunications projects across Western Canada, the Design Manager ensures the overall direction of the department, and actively guides and facilitates its expansion and financial stability.
The Design Manager also helps to ensure the accountability of team members to ensure that deliverables are produced on or ahead of schedule, and that all work products are consistent throughout geographic regions and project type.

The position requires a solution-based thinker who operates at a high level.

Review and guide thoughtful design practices to ensure recurrent client requests are built into company processes and procedures,

Ensuring quality assurance and quality control principles are adhered to, and that a consistent product is being produced.

Responsible for the implementation and evolution of company quality control and assurance programs as pertains design standards.

Simple, effective, concise communication and feedback and an ability to hold team members accountable for their responsibilities.

Exceptional attention to detail, time management and communication skills,

an ability to comprehend complex client requests and to engage and facilitate collaboration with internal inter-disciplinary parties as required.

Ensure understanding of and adherence to company and client specifications and requirements.

Receive, review and provide direction on the implementation of constructive feedback and suggestions for improvement or increased efficiencies to all design work products, templates, processes, and quality efforts.

Review and understanding of key delivery metrics, identifying trends in workflow, productivity, and budgetary shortfalls, collaborating on course adjustments to correct issues and implementing comprehensive solutions in a timely manner.

Responsible for ensuring accountability for consistency throughout the completion of planning and design work products.

Responsible for the establishment, maintenance, and furtherance of professional relationships with client project managers and planners and participate in the overall business development objectives of RPB.

Responsible to be main point of contact for client escalation of all concerns related to delivery timelines, quality, professionalism, roadblock removals and overall design team accountabilities.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $80,000.00-$100,000.00 per year
