As a

Designer Lead

, you'll guide and grow WestLink's design practice. You'll combine leadership with hands-on design work, driving creative excellence and ensuring design is embedded into everything we do. You'll partner closely with product managers, engineers, and business leaders to deliver intuitive, impactful, and scalable solutions for our clients.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Strategy

Define and champion WestLink's design vision and strategy. Mentor, inspire, and scale a multidisciplinary design team (UX, UI, brand, and visual designers). Embed design thinking across projects and client engagements.

Design Execution

Lead end-to-end design for high-impact initiatives, from research to delivery. Establish and maintain design systems and visual guidelines. Ensure accessibility, usability, and performance best practices are met.

Collaboration

Work cross-functionally with product, engineering, and client teams to align on priorities. Facilitate workshops, design sprints, and brainstorming sessions. Advocate for user needs while balancing business and technical goals.

Innovation & Quality

Push creative boundaries by introducing new design methods and tools. Provide constructive feedback and review design deliverables. Stay at the forefront of design trends and apply them meaningfully to WestLink's work.

Qualifications

6+ years of experience in product, UX/UI, or brand design, with at least 2 years in a leadership role. Strong portfolio showcasing design leadership and user-centered solutions. Proficiency in tools like Figma, Sketch, or Adobe Creative Suite. Expertise in design systems, accessibility, and responsive design. Excellent communication skills with the ability to align diverse stakeholders. Experience in agile or fast-paced digital product environments.
