Design Intern will be supporting our designer and construction team using SketchUp and AutoCAD, following Brands' specific standards for its both interior and exterior, as well as following building codes.

What you will do in this role:

Provide an innovative approach to design and drawing support for the Design and Construction team Support the coordination and creation of SketchUp 3D renderings, AutoCAD drawings, and library standards (2D and 3D) Work with the Design team to produce design layouts for all Brands, in compliance with building codes Assist with drawing details, presentation development, material boards, specifications schedules, etc. Implement Recipe's standard of current and new building materials, technology, code requirements and construction industry trends Incorporate the Interior and Exterior Design and Brand standards while coordinating with Architectural, Structural, Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing Align building standards and specifications with corporate sustainability, energy conservation, and safety criteria

What we are looking for from you:

Currently enrolled in 2nd or 3rd year of studies in University or College, in a degree in Architecture (B.Arch), Interior Design, Architectural Technologist field Required skills: Fundamental understanding of Architecture, Interior Design with solid drafting abilities (AutoCAD, SketchUp, etc) Demonstrated skills (via portfolio of work) in layout design, SketchUp and CAD Demonstrated skills in Google Suite and Microsoft Office Excellent communication and organizational skills Ability to work independently with a can-do attitude and eagerness to learn Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities and large volumes of work Valid driver's license and good driving record within provincial guidelines Work experience preferred: 1-2 years of experience working in Architecture, Design or Construction industry Experience in restaurant or Retail Architecture, Design, and/or Construction Functional knowledge of restaurant equipment, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing This position will start on May 6th, 2025 until August 21st, 2025
