Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Designer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the project design, lifecycle by accurately assessing costs and preparing estimates for construction projects. This position requires strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of construction processes, and the ability to negotiate effectively with vendors and subcontractors.

Duties

Prepare detailed drawings, cost estimates for construction projects using industry-standard software such as AutoCad and Plan Swift. Analyze project specifications, create drawings, and other documentation to develop comprehensive estimates. Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to ensure all aspects of the project are considered in the estimating process. Maintain accurate records of estimates, bids, and contracts for future reference. Monitor project budgets and assist in identifying cost-saving opportunities throughout the project lifecycle. Participate in pre-bid meetings and site visits to gather necessary information for accurate estimating.

Experience

Proven experience in design, estimating, with a strong understanding of construction methodologies and materials. Proficiency in using software such as Auto Cad Plan Swift and Micro soft project is highly desirable. Excellent negotiation skills with a track record of securing favorable pricing from vendors. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Experience in social media is a plus, providing insight into overall project execution and timelines.
