Stagiaire en genie electronique / Electrical Engineering Intern (Electronics)

This role is targeting interns for the Fall/Winter semesters.

L'ingenieur de conception - Electronique joue un role cle dans le processus de developpement de produits, en developpant et en validant des prototypes, en travaillant sur la conception du produit afin de lancer les produits en production. Ils dirigeront des essais techniques, la mise-a-l'echelle de la fabrication de nouveaux pour obtenir des informations sur la conception du produit, et d'autres activites necessaires a la reussite des lancements de nouveaux produits.

Fonctions essentielles :

Travailler avec une equipe de conception multidisciplinaire pour concevoir des solutions LED pour repondre aux besoins des clients dans plusieurs segments de marche. Concevoir des prototypes et des solutions LED pour repondre aux divers besoins des clients pour divers segments de marche. Executer des plans d'essais pour valider la fonctionnalite de conception, coordonner avec les techniciens pour confirmer la conformite aux specifications (EMI, temperature, vibration, etc.) et la fiabilite. Interagir avec les equipes mondiales au sein de GE Current, chez les fournisseurs et les clients pour concevoir de nouveaux systemes LED avec des performances de pointe Travailler dans plusieurs projets de developpement et respecter les delais etablis Traduire les specifications fonctionnelles en exigences de conception.

Responsabilites supplementaires :

Soutenir les fonctions de fabrication dans les projets d'amelioration des processus, des materiaux / composants Developper une connaissance considerable des produits et faire preuve d'ouverture a l'apprentissage des pratiques de developpement de produits interfonctionnelles.

The Design Engineer - Electronics plays a key role in the product development process, by developing and validating prototypes, refining the design into a scalable solution, and finally launching products into full-scale production. They will lead technical reviews with cross-functional teams, manufacturing scale-up of new and updated products and other activities necessary for successful New Product Introductions.

Essential Functions:

Work with multidisciplinary design team to design and bring to life LED solutions to resolve customer needs across several market segments Design drivers and LED solutions to resolve various customer needs for various market segments. Execute on test plans to validate design functionality, coordinate with technicians to confirm compliance to specifications (EMI, temperature, vibration, etc.) and reliability. Interact with global teams within GE Current, at vendors and customers to design new LED systems with state-of-the-art performance Work in multiple development projects and meet established deadlines Use clear thinking to translate functional specifications into design requirements Leverage external focus to improve skills in the face of rapidly evolving technology

Additional Responsibilities:

Support Manufacturing functions in process, materials / components improvement projects Develop considerable product knowledge and show openness to learning cross functional product development practices.

Qualifications :

2+ annees d'etudes universitaires en genie electrique ou dans un domaine connexe. Connaissance/experience en electronique et en conception Connaissance pratique avec les logiciels de conception: Altium Designer, PSPICE, MathCAD entre autres. Familiarite avec les concepts de base en conception pour la fabrication, et lancement de produits en production

Qualifications:

2+ years of university in an Electrical Engineering or related field. Knowledge/experience in digital, analog, and power electronic system design. Working knowledge of Altium Designer, PSPICE, MathCAD, and/or similar EE design CAD software. A basic understanding of design for manufacturing, and launching solutions into manufacturing.
