Job Description

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced individual to take on the management of our retail Design Centre. This key position will oversee the day-to-day operations of the Design Centre as well as the Furniture, Flooring and Major and Small Appliance departments. The Design Centre Manager will also be responsible for building relationships with existing and potential clients, and working with the Contractor Sales team to support our customers through the design and building process. Specialized duties include offering colour and product selection choices, recommending decor and design options and staying current with trends in the industry. Other duties include researching and recommending inventory purchases, placing special orders, receiving product and maintaining inventory across the departments. This is a full-time position offering competitive compensation and benefits, with some evenings and weekends required to fit within the operational hours of the store. Skills required:

• Retail sales experience and/or design and decorating expertise;
• Strong customer service, sales and management skills;
• The ability to multitask while staying organized and meeting sales targets;
• A background of working well as part of a team;
• The ability to work independently and develop creative ideas to drive sales;
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
