Proxima Lighting Solutions Ltd. is seeking a Design and Marketing Associate to join our growing team.
This full-time, in-person position is ideal for a creative and detail-oriented individual with a passion for interior design, architecture, and lighting layout design. The role bridges the worlds of design and marketing, supporting both client engagement and the creative development of lighting solutions that enhance architectural spaces.
About the Role
As a Design and Marketing Associate, you will help connect Proxima Lighting with the design community while contributing to our visual, spatial, and brand presence. You'll collaborate with architects, interior designers, and project managers to support lighting design development, while also managing marketing initiatives that strengthen our brand across digital and physical channels.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with architects and interior designers to assist in lighting layout design, fixture selection, and specification documentation.
Create and maintain marketing materials, presentations, and design proposals that communicate design intent and technical details effectively.
Manage and grow Proxima Lighting's digital marketing presence across social media (Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, YouTube) and email campaigns.
Engage with design professionals through outreach, in-person visits, and participation in industry events, presentations, and trade shows.
Maintain customer and project information within CRM systems to ensure accurate and up-to-date records.
Support the planning and coordination of marketing events, product launches, and educational sessions (e.g., Lunch & Learns).
Assist in preparing project quotations and tender documentation related to lighting layouts and product specifications.
Provide general administrative, operational, inventorial, and other technical and logistic support to the team as needed.
Skills and Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, Industrial Design, Marketing, or a related field (preferred).
Experience:
1+ year of experience in business development, design coordination, or marketing -- ideally within the lighting, architecture, or design industries.
Excellent English
communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written.
Strong design sensibility and attention to detail, with an eye for composition, color, and spatial design.
Proficiency with design and office tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator), Microsoft Office, and CRM platforms.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
Strong organizational and relationship-building skills.
A proactive, creative mindset with the ability to identify opportunities and bring ideas to life.
Assets
Background or formal training in Architecture or Interior Design.
Familiarity with lighting design principles, fixture technologies, and layout standards.
Experience preparing lighting layouts, schedules, or specifications.
Multilingual communication abilities.
Flexibility in after-working-hour schedule events
