Overview:
As a Sales & Design Associate at our custom window treatment showroom, you will be a key figure in ensuring our clients receive top-tier, personalized service, both in our retail setting and through in-home consultations. This multifaceted role encompasses design, sales, logistical tasks, customer service, and follow-up, requiring a blend of creativity, technical aptitude, and a proactive approach to customer interaction. Your role is crucial in driving our company's success, enhancing our reputation through high-quality products and services, and fostering customer loyalty through continuous engagement and satisfaction efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
Retail Sales and Customer Service: Engage with customers within the retail store during scheduled hours, providing expert advice, product information, and personalized recommendations. Drive sales by understanding customer needs, offer professional design recommendations, take precise measurements, and provide solutions that meet their aesthetic and functional requirements and guiding them through our product offerings
In-Home Consultations: Conduct in-home consultations to offer bespoke design services, take precise measurements, and deliver solutions tailored to customer preferences and space requirements.
Design and Customization: Utilize your design expertise to assist or lead in the creation of custom window treatments, applying industry trends and creative solutions to meet customer expectations.
Order and Inventory Management: : Accurately calculate, process, manage, and track orders from initiation to completion, finalizing each order with the customer prior to final order placement, including precise specifications.
Efficiently manage the processing and tracking of orders and oversee inventory, ensuring accuracy in shipping and receiving of products. This includes handling items of various sizes and weights.
Ergonomic Practices: Employ proper body mechanics during physical tasks to prevent injury and promote health.Apply correct lifting, carrying, and reaching techniques to prevent injury and maintain health, especially when handling heavy or large items.
Continuous Quality Improvement: Actively participate in initiatives to improve the quality of products and services. Offer suggestions for enhancements based on customer feedback, personal observations, and industry trends.
Customer Satisfaction Follow-Up: Conduct post-installation follow-ups to gauge customer satisfaction, address any concerns, and identify opportunities for improvement or additional services. This feedback loop is crucial for fostering customer loyalty and supporting continuous quality improvement.
Scheduled Sales Hours: Fulfill assigned sales shifts within the retail store, focusing on customer interaction, product selling, and achieving sales targets.
Physical Requirements:
Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds and performing tasks that require bending, standing, and overhead reaching.o Comfort with manual tasks and navigating retail and in-home environments.o Willingness to travel to customer homes, with adaptability to variable environments.
Skills and Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent;certification/diploma/degree in interior design or related field is a plus.
Experience in retail sales, customer service, or interior design.
*Proficient in the use of design software and computer systems.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
Creative design thinking paired with effective problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
Knowledge of ergonomic principles and commitment to safe work practices.
