Overview
AtkinsRealis is hiring a hiring an experienced Deputy Construction Manager to join our team in Toronto. This position requires a strong understanding of construction management principles, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. The Deputy Construction Manager will be based on an exciting major airport infrastructure project based in the West end of Toronto.
Your role

• Deputizes for the Construction Manager as required to support the oversight and coordination of the construction activities.
• Ensure that all construction works are in accordance with design specifications and are carried out in accordance with budget and quality standards.
• Provide field execution leadership and a broad range of high quality and reliable construction expertise in a proactive manner.
• Provide technical and administrative guidance to construction personnel on site
• Maintain ongoing communication with customers, subcontractors and suppliers.
• Assists the Construction Manager in the execution and planning of all phases within the project

About you

• Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in construction management.
• Minimum 5 years of on-site experience working in highly regulated, complex operational environments
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in large international airport projects or equivalent infrastructure programs.
• Good technical capability in all project phases, including design, planning, construction, operations, and maintenance preferably large program/projects.
• Demonstrable experience in providing reporting to enable effective decision making.
• Good stakeholder engagement and communication skills including the ability to facilitate meetings / workshops with groups of stakeholders.
• Recognized degree and professional designation in a relevant field considered an asset.
