Construction is an industry that's made relatively little progress in how it organizes its business, still using century-old technologies and processes. We believe digital capabilities present opportunities to make qualitative leaps for the industry. There have been piecemeal efforts made, but no significant revolution in overall project scale practice.

Horizon Legacy is pioneering the use of robots in construction and solving the problem of labour shortage and affordable housing. Horizon is creating the first construction automation lab in Canada, located in the heart of Toronto, and looking to hire a Deployment Lead to ensure the smooth operation of the team while both on site and in the lab.

Job Summary

The Deployment Team Lead oversees the planning, coordination, and execution of deployment activities for construction projects. This role ensures that resources, personnel, and equipment are effectively mobilized to project sites, meeting timelines, safety standards, and quality requirements. The position acts as a bridge between project management, field teams, and stakeholders to guarantee smooth deployment and operational readiness.

Key Responsibilities

Planning & Coordination

Develop deployment schedules aligned with project timelines. Coordinate logistics for equipment, materials, and workforce mobilization. Ensure compliance with local regulations and company standards.

Team Leadership

Supervise and guide deployment team members. Assign tasks and monitor progress to meet deadlines. Provide training and mentorship on safety and operational procedures.

Resource Management

Manage inventory and ensure timely delivery of materials. Optimize resource allocation to reduce downtime and costs. Liaise with procurement and suppliers for equipment readiness.

Communication & Reporting

Act as the primary point of contact for deployment-related issues. Prepare and present status reports to project managers and stakeholders. Document deployment activities and maintain accurate records.

Risk & Safety Management

Conduct risk assessments before deployment. Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards. Implement contingency plans for delays or emergencies. Identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies Troubleshoot deployment issues and escalate when necessary

Quality Assurance

Verify that deployed resources meet project specifications. Coordinate inspections and resolve non-compliance issues

Documentation & Reporting

Maintain detailed documentation of deployment processes, schedules and outcomes Provide regular status updates to management

Required Skills & Qualifications

Experience -

5+ years in construction deployment or site coordination with leadership experience. Able to schedule and coordinator resources. Must be hands on. Require full driver's licence

Strong organizational and planning abilities. Excellent communication and leadership skills. Knowledge of construction processes, safety regulations, and logistics.

Salary - $90 to $115,000
