Overview
------------
This is clerical work mainly facilitating entry level Disclosure and Insurance related requests to internal and external stakeholders. The incumbent must possess excellent written and verbal communication, organizational, multi-tasking and problem-solving skills.
Examples of key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Maintain administrative files and enter data accurately into various databases.
Perform basic clerical functions such as create correspondence, scan and organize large volumes of documents and records such as forms, templates, files or other materials. Appropriately redact records as needed.
Quality assure various incoming requests against police records to ensure validity and accuracy.
Facilitate requests and provide feedback and responses as needed.
Monitor, track and order office supplies for the section and the Unit.
Prepare outgoing mail as well as sort and distribute incoming mail.
Answer phones, retrieve and return voice messages.
Provide timely and accurate information and clerical assistance to others in the department.
Provide support to RCMP Records Front Counter service and staff when required.
Perform other duties as required.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Sound knowledge of clerical and record keeping methods and procedures.
Sound knowledge of the rules, regulations, policies and procedures governing the work performed.
Knowledge of PRIME RCMP system is an asset.
Ability to accomplish tasks with high level of attention to detail.
Ability to type a minimum of 45 wpm.
Ability to exercise independence of judgment and action in determining priorities and meeting deadlines effectively.
Ability to maintain concentration despite the noise and distractions of a large, open office.
Ability to maintain effective working relationships and to deal effectively with internal contacts in matters applicable to the work.
Professional and composed when dealing with challenging situations.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Intermediate skill level in MS Office, such as Outlook, Word, Excel, and Adobe.
Ability to use REDMS or a similar records management system.
Ability to obtain and maintain RCMP enhanced security clearance.
Qualifications and Experience:

Completion of Grade 12 supplemented by computer courses and typing.
Up to one (1) year sound related experience.
An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.

Duties are performed in an office environment and involve carrying weight greater than 10 kgs.
