Department of Politics and International Studies



In accordance with article 6.2.2 (Notification of Courses) of the Contract Faculty Collective Agreement, applications are invited for the following courses, to be offered during the following session:


Winter semester 2026 (January 7--April 7)




POL 246 The Politics of Gender and Sexuality




A theoretical and empirical study of the relationships among gender, sexuality, and politics in Western democracies, with a special emphasis on Canada. Drawing upon feminist, queer, and intersectional theories, the course explores such issues as reproductive rights, LGBTQ politics, trans rights movements, sex work, political masculinity, and the representation of women in politics.

Remuneration is $9560.92, with travel and marking expenses provided where appropriate.
