Job Description

The Department Manager is responsible for overseeing daily operations within the shipping area of our warehouse. This role includes managing workflow, supervising warehouse associates, ensuring accurate inventory control, and maintaining a strong focus on safety. The Department Manager also participates in operational meetings and drives efficiency to meet organizational goals.

Responsible for managing and supervising team, assigning tasks and maintaining safety standards. Providing all the important training to the team members. Verifying the delivery documents against actual shipment and inspecting any damages. Communicating and coordinating with other departments regarding products put away. Ensuring stock is consistently replenished and store is always presentable. Plan, direct and evaluate the operations of establishments Address staffing requirements, including the hiring, development and retention of staff. Other duties assigned by the superior

Ability to manage changing priorities in a fast-paced environment Motivate others through their positive attitude to always be improving Demonstrate the drive and commitment needed to reach goals With minimum of 2 years Leadership and warehouse experience A knowledge of department products is an asset * Typical career steps are to manage larger departments prior to becoming an assistant store manager
