What you'll do
Perform sterilization of dental instruments and equipment using aseptic techniques to ensure compliance with infection control protocols.
Maintain accurate medical documentation and records, adhering to HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality.
Assist chairside during procedures, providing support to dentists and ensuring a smooth workflow.
Manage the inventory of dental supplies and materials, ensuring that all necessary items are stocked and ready for use.
Utilize electronic medical record (EMR) systems such as Eaglesoft and Dentrix for efficient patient management.
Conduct X-ray imaging when required, ensuring safety protocols are followed for both patients and staff.
Monitor vital signs as needed, providing essential information to the dental team during patient care.
Collaborate with other team members to create a welcoming environment for patients, particularly in pediatric settings.
Basic qualifications
Strong knowledge of dental terminology and anatomy
Experience with infection control practices in a clinical setting
Familiarity with medical coding and documentation processes
Preferred qualifications
Previous experience in a dental clinic or similar healthcare environment
Proficiency in using 3D scanners and other advanced dental technologies
Understanding of prosthodontics, endodontics, and general dentistry practices
