We are seeking a dedicated and organized Dental Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing the front desk operations of our dental office. This role requires a blend of administrative skills and dental knowledge to ensure a smooth patient experience.
Responsibilities
Greet patients warmly and manage check-in and check-out processes
Schedule appointments and manage the dental office calendar efficiently
Handle patient inquiries and provide information regarding services offered
Maintain accurate patient records using electronic medical records systems
Process insurance claims and verify patient insurance coverage
Assist with billing inquiries and payment processing
Manage phone systems to handle incoming calls promptly
Collaborate with dental staff to ensure seamless patient flow and care
Skills
Proficiency in dental software such as Dentrix
Strong understanding of medical terminology related to dental practices
Previous experience as a Dental Receptionist or in a similar role within a dental or medical office is highly desirable
Familiarity with electronic medical records systems for efficient data management
Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in administrative tasks
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective patient interaction
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism
Experience with front desk operations and managing multi-line phone systems is essential
Chair side duties/sterilization when not working reception
Requirements
Minimum 2 years experience
Level 1 CDA minimum
