One Dental is a Dental Management Corporation, operating multiple clinics across Ontario, Canada. The clinics are located in Toronto, North York, Mississauga, Milton, Etobicoke, Scarborough, Burlington, London, Mount Brydges, and St. Thomas. Position Overview:
The Front Desk Receptionist will play a key role in the day-to-day operations of our clinic. You will be the first point of contact for patients, making a positive and lasting impression while providing essential administrative support. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, have a friendly and professional demeanor, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
What You'll Be Doing:
Greet and check in patients in a friendly and professional manner
Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and manage patient inquiries
Verify and update patient information in the electronic health record system
Collect and process patient payments, including insurance verification and billing inquiries
Maintain patient confidentiality and ensure all patient interactions adhere to privacy regulations (HIPAA)
Coordinate patient appointments and follow-up visits, ensuring efficient scheduling
Assist with the preparation of patient charts and documentation for treatments
Handle administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and managing office supplies
Ensure the reception area is clean, organized, and welcoming for patients
Collaborate with other team members to maintain smooth clinic operations and positive patient experiences
What We're Looking For:
Minimum 6 months of previous experience at a dental office setting is mandatory
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a professional, courteous demeanor to ensure the best customer service for our clients
Ability to multi-task and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and dental software (i.e. Dentrix, Akitu) is required.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Knowledge of dental terminology and insurance claim processes is a must
Positive attitude, teamwork mentality, and the ability to maintain patient confidentiality
High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education is a plus
Proof of Work Eligibility will be required if successful
Must be available to work evenings/weekend as we are open 7 days a week.

Working Conditions:
Work Environment: Clean, modern dental clinic environment with exposure to patients of all ages. The role may require standing for extended periods, as well as performing clinical duties that involve bending and reaching.
Schedule: The position may require evening and weekend hours, depending on the clinic's hours of operation and business needs
Physical Requirements: Must be able to handle the physical demands of the job, including lifting, bending, and assisting with patient movement when necessary
