We are seeking a professional and organized Dental Receptionist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing administrative tasks efficiently. This role requires a friendly demeanor, strong communication skills, and familiarity with dental office operations. Prior experience with electronic medical records and dental software is highly desirable to ensure smooth daily operations and patient flow.
Duties
Greet patients warmly and check them in for appointments using electronic medical records systems such as Dentrix and Epic
Manage multi-line phone systems to schedule appointments, answer inquiries, and relay messages accurately
Verify patient insurance information and process billing or payments as needed
Maintain accurate patient records, update charts, and ensure confidentiality of sensitive information
Assist with appointment scheduling, rescheduling, and cancellations to optimize the daily calendar
Collect patient co-pays and process payments efficiently at the front desk
Coordinate with dental staff to ensure smooth patient flow and timely treatment delivery
Handle administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and managing correspondence related to the dental practice
Maintain a clean and professional front desk environment
Experience
Prior experience as a Dental Receptionist or in a similar dental or medical office setting is preferred
Proficiency with dental practice management software such as Dentrix and Epic is highly desirable
Strong knowledge of medical terminology and electronic medical records systems
Experience handling multi-line phone systems and managing front desk operations in a fast-paced environment
Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in managing patient information and scheduling
Office experience in a healthcare setting is advantageous but not mandatory
Exceptional communication skills to interact effectively with patients, staff, and insurance providers
