We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Office Administrator to oversee daily operations within our healthcare or dental practice. The ideal candidate will possess strong administrative skills, experience with medical and dental office procedures, and proficiency with electronic medical records systems such as Dentrix. This role requires a professional who can manage human resources functions, coordinate office activities, and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations. The Office Administrator will play a vital role in maintaining efficient office workflows, supporting staff, and delivering exceptional patient service.
Responsibilities
Manage front desk operations, including patient scheduling, check-in/out, and appointment confirmations
Maintain and update electronic medical records using Dentrix or similar software
Assist with human resources tasks such as onboarding new staff, tracking certifications, and managing employee records
Oversee billing processes, insurance claims, and coding procedures in accordance with healthcare standards
Coordinate communication between patients, staff, and healthcare providers
Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and privacy laws (HIPAA)
Support budgeting activities by monitoring office expenses and supplies
Supervise administrative staff and delegate tasks to ensure smooth daily operations
Prepare reports related to patient flow, billing, and operational efficiency
Assist in training new administrative team members on office procedures and software systems
Experience
Prior experience in a dental or medical office environment is highly preferred
Proficiency with Dentrix or other electronic medical records systems is essential
Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare workflows is required
Experience in human resources functions such as staffing, onboarding, and employee management is advantageous
Supervisory experience managing administrative teams or staff is desirable
Background in budgeting or financial management within a healthcare setting is a plus
Hospital or nursing experience involving acute care settings can be beneficial but not mandatory
Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment are essential

Pay: $22.00-$30.00 per hour
