Duties

Perform thorough dental cleanings and examinations to assess patient oral health. Apply topical fluoride treatments, sealants, and desensitizing agents as prescribed. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and the importance of regular dental visits. Take dental radiographs (X-rays) as prescribed in accordance with safety guidelines. Intra-oral scanning and picture taking for records and potential orthodontic treatment records Assist in the diagnosis of oral diseases and conditions by providing relevant information to the dentist. Maintain accurate patient records using Tracker or similar dental software. Collaborate with the dental team to provide comprehensive patient care Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and maintain a clean working environment. Provide excellent customer service to enhance patient experience and satisfaction.

Requirements

Valid Dental Hygienist license in Ontario. Experience in dental assisting is a plus. Strong customer service skills with a focus on patient care. A patient-first mindset with a professional, friendly demeanor. Familiarity with medical terminology related to dentistry. Proficiency in using Tracker or similar dental practice management software is preferred. Bilingual candidates are highly encouraged to apply, as communication with diverse patient populations is essential. Knowledge or experience in pediatrics is advantageous but not mandatory. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a busy dental office setting.
