We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care, performing thorough dental cleanings, and assisting in various dental procedures. Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including reviewing medical histories and vital signs. Perform dental cleanings and apply preventive treatments while ensuring patient comfort. Assist dentists during procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques. Utilize Eaglesoft or Dentrix software for patient documentation and record management. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Maintain a clean and organized work area adhering to aseptic techniques and infection control standards. Manage medical records accurately while complying with HIPAA regulations. Collaborate with the dental team to ensure high-quality patient care in both pediatric and general dentistry settings. Provide chairside assistance during various dental procedures as needed.

Requirements

Valid dental hygiene license in the state of practice. Proficiency in using EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix is preferred. Experience in pediatric dentistry is a plus, along with knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology. Strong skills in patient care, assessment, documentation review, and medical coding. Familiarity with infection control protocols and aseptic techniques within a dental clinic environment. Previous experience as a dental assistant is advantageous. Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate patients effectively on oral health practices. A commitment to maintaining confidentiality regarding patient information in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.
