Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist working on Fridays to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about providing exceptional patient care and will play a crucial role in promoting oral health. This position requires a strong knowledge of dental hygiene practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with patients of all ages, including children.

Mandarin language skills are an asset.

Responsibilities

Perform thorough dental cleanings and examinations for patients. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and the importance of regular dental visits. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed. Assist in identifying periodontal disease and other oral health issues. Document patient treatment plans and maintain accurate records using Dentrix software. Collaborate with dentists and other staff members to provide comprehensive care. Provide support in pediatric dentistry, ensuring a comfortable experience for younger patients. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols.

Qualifications

Valid state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist. Experience in a dental office setting is preferred; knowledge of orthodontics is a plus. Familiarity with medical terminology related to dentistry. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members. Bilingual abilities are highly desirable, enhancing communication with diverse patient populations. Previous experience in dental assisting is advantageous but not required. Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying updated on best practices in dental hygiene.

Pay: $45.00-$55.00 per hour
