We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care, ensuring optimal oral health for our patients. You will be responsible for performing dental cleanings, assessing patient needs, and educating patients on proper oral hygiene practices. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, infection control protocols, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
Conduct thorough dental cleanings and periodontal assessments for patients.
Perform patient assessments, including taking vital signs and reviewing medical histories.
Utilize dental software such as Eaglesoft and Dentrix for patient documentation and record-keeping.
Assist in pediatric dentistry procedures, ensuring a comfortable experience for young patients.
Implement four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency during procedures.
Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and the importance of regular dental visits.
Collaborate with the dental team to provide exceptional patient care and support.
Uphold infection control standards and aseptic techniques within the clinic environment.
Stay current with advancements in dental technology and practices.
Qualifications
Valid Dental Hygienist license as required by state regulations.
Experience in general dentistry and pediatric dentistry preferred.
Proficient knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and infection control procedures.
Familiarity with EMR systems and documentation review processes.
Previous experience in a dental office or clinic setting is highly desirable.
Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members.
Ability to perform chairside assisting duties as needed during procedures.
