What we\xe2\x80\x99re looking for We\xe2\x80\x99re looking for a dynamic and organized individual to join our team as a Dental Fee Guide Specialist. This role is primarily a customer service position that focuses on the ODA Suggested Fee Guides (interpretation and coding dental services accurately) and department policies. You\xe2\x80\x99ll use your skills to provide technical support to internal and external stakeholders. The ideal candidate should be adept in handling various forms of communication and be capable of navigating dental claims adjudication issues, including mediations, accurate claim form completion, administrative rule changes, and understanding dental plans. What you\xe2\x80\x99ll do In this role, you will work with the Manager, ODA Suggested Fee Guides and practically speaking you will: * Respond to a high-volume of telephone, e-mail and other written inquiries from member dentists, public, and insurance carriers, as they relate to clinical procedures and the use of the ODA Suggested Fee Guides. * Respond to inquiries concerning electronic dental claims submission tools such as CDAnet and ITRANS. * Support the creation, updating and distribution of department publications and reports. * Provide support with the development and distribution of the ODA Suggested Fee Guides as required. * Assist with the development of member resources including writing articles for the Association\xe2\x80\x99s Ontario Dentist journal, member e-mail communications, member website and other resource documents while also liaising with the Communications team. * Provides support to the Economics Advisory Committee, Task Forces and Working Groups as needed (arrange meetings, distribution/posting of meeting materials, minute taking, etc.). * Collaborate as necessary with the Professional and Government Affairs department on matters related to procedure codes, dental office procedure expertise, claim form completion, various dental plans, technical advice, etc. The ideal candidate possesses excellent communication skills, a keen eye for detail, and a knack for multitasking. What you\xe2\x80\x99ll bring * Minimum 3 years chair-side assisting and 3 years dental office front desk experience * Minimum 3 years working with Suggested Fee Guides (procedure code interpretation and use) * Intermediate knowledge of dental procedures and terminology * Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Zoom ** Dental claim adjudicator with insurance carrier or third-party administrator (TPA) is an asset ** Experience working in an administrative role is an asset ** Experience working for a non-profit organization is an asset What we offer This is a full-time, hybrid, permanent position, with daily work hours from 9am-5pm.
