Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting the dental practice's daily operations. This position requires proficiency in various dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of infection control and patient safety.

Responsibilities

Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, including chairside assisting and four-handed dentistry techniques. Prepare and maintain treatment rooms, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are ready for use. Perform X-ray imaging and other medical imaging procedures as required, adhering to safety protocols. Manage patient records, including medical documentation and medical coding, while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. . Utilize EMR systems such as Dentrix for patient scheduling and record management. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, following aseptic techniques and infection control protocols. Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

Previous experience as a Dental Assistant in a clinical setting is preferred, with familiarity in general dentistry, prosthodontics and endodontics. Proficient in dental terminology and anatomy knowledge. Strong understanding of medical records management and medical terminology. Ability to perform basic clinical tasks such as taking vital signs and assisting with procedures under supervision. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages. Knowledge of infection control practices within a dental clinic environment is essential. Familiarity with EMR systems (Dentrix) is highly desirable. J
