Job Overview


We are seeking a professional and detail-oriented Dental Receptionist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for patients, managing appointment scheduling, patient check-in and check-out, insurance verification, and maintaining accurate medical records. This role requires excellent communication skills, proficiency with dental and medical office systems, and a strong understanding of healthcare administrative procedures. Prior dental office experience and familiarity with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Meditech are highly preferred. The Dental Receptionist will play a vital role in ensuring smooth clinic operations while providing exceptional patient service.

Responsibilities



Greet patients warmly and professionally upon arrival and assist with check-in procedures Schedule appointments using dental practice management software such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix Verify insurance coverage and benefits, including insurance verification for various providers Manage patient intake forms, update electronic health records (EHR), and review documentation for accuracy Handle multi-line phone systems with excellent phone etiquette to answer inquiries and schedule appointments Collect payments and perform medical billing tasks, including CPT coding and ICD coding as needed Maintain accurate dental records, including documentation review and filing of patient information Assist with front desk duties such as filing, data entry, and managing patient flow throughout the clinic Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality Support administrative functions related to health information management and office management

Skills



Proficiency with Dentrix. Knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, ICD-10/ICD-9 coding, CPT coding, and insurance billing processes Experience with medical billing, medical collection processes, and insurance verification procedures Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and typing (10-key typing) Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation review and record keeping Exceptional customer service skills with professional phone etiquette in handling multi-line phone systems Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse patient populations Previous clinic or dental office experience is highly desirable for understanding workflow and dental terminology Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy in all tasks

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $19.10-$24.00 per hour
