Job Overview


We are seeking a professional and organized Dental Receptionist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service while efficiently managing front desk operations. This role requires strong administrative skills, familiarity with dental software, and the ability to handle multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment. Experience with electronic medical records and dental office procedures is highly valued. The Dental Receptionist plays a crucial role in ensuring smooth patient flow and supporting the overall functionality of the dental office.

Duties



Greet patients warmly and professionally upon arrival and departure Manage multi-line phone systems to schedule appointments, answer inquiries, and confirm patient visits Maintain accurate patient records using electronic medical records systems such as Dentrix and Epic Verify insurance information and assist with billing or payment processing Prepare and update patient charts, ensuring all documentation is complete and current Assist with administrative tasks including filing, data entry, and correspondence Coordinate with dental staff to facilitate smooth daily operations Handle patient check-in/check-out processes efficiently while providing excellent customer service Manage appointment scheduling, rescheduling, and cancellations in accordance with office protocols Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain a clean front desk area

Experience



Prior experience as a Dental Receptionist or in a medical/dental office setting is preferred Familiarity with dental software such as Dentrix and Epic is highly desirable Strong knowledge of medical terminology related to dentistry and healthcare practices Experience working with electronic medical records systems in a healthcare environment Office experience involving front desk responsibilities, multi-line phone systems, and administrative tasks is advantageous Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask effectively Proven ability to provide exceptional customer service in a professional setting
