The Position
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Level 1 or Level 2 Dental Assistant to join our patient-focused dental team.
The ideal candidate is committed to a long-term career as a Dental Assistant in Canada and is not seeking transition into a dental school pathway.
This role requires flexibility, professionalism, and a passion for patient care in a dynamic clinical environment.
Key Responsibilities
Assist dentists during examinations, procedures, and treatments.
Prepare and maintain dental instruments, materials, and equipment in accordance with IPAC standards.
Provide chair-side assistance and ensure smooth patient flow.
Take and develop dental radiographs (HARP certified requirement).
iTero and Trios experience a plus
Document treatment notes and maintain accurate patient records in Tracker
Support infection prevention and sterilization processes as needed
Educate patients on oral hygiene, pre- and post-treatment care.
Maintain operatory readiness and assist with inventory and supply management.
Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient daily operations.
Qualifications
Certification: Dental Assistant Level I or II (Ontario)
HARP Certification (mandatory for radiography)
Experience: Minimum 2 years as a Dental Assistant in a clinical setting
*Commitment: Must desire to remain in the Dental Assistant profession (not in transition to dental school)
Availability for a variety of shifts, (Clinic Hours, Monday-Thursday 9am-7pm, Friday-Sunday 9am-5pm. The shifts including some 10-hour days)
Tracker software knowledge a bonus
Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Knowledge of infection prevention and control (IPAC) standards and RCDSO guidelines
