We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care while assisting the dental team in delivering high-quality services. This position requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

As a Dental Assistant, your responsibilities will include:

Assisting the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow Preparing and sterilizing instruments and equipment in accordance with safety protocols Taking and developing dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed Maintaining accurate patient records and managing appointment schedules Educating patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care Collaborating with the dental team to provide comprehensive care, including orthodontics and pediatrics Utilizing dental software such as Epic and Dentrix for patient management Understanding medical terminology to effectively communicate with patients and staff

Experience

The ideal candidate should possess:

Previous experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar role is preferred Familiarity with orthodontics, pediatrics, and CAD (Computer-Aided Design) is advantageous Proficiency in using dental practice management software, particularly Epic and Dentrix Strong knowledge of medical terminology related to dentistry Excellent interpersonal skills to interact with patients of all ages and backgrounds
