Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring smooth operations within the dental practice. This position requires a proactive individual who is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and possesses strong interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients and staff.

Duties

Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and available. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed. Maintain accurate patient records using dental software such as Dentrix or Epic. Educate patients on oral hygiene, post-operative care, and treatment plans. Manage appointment scheduling, including coordinating with dental receptionists for patient flow. Sterilize instruments and maintain cleanliness of the work area in compliance with health regulations. Support orthodontic procedures, including taking impressions and fitting appliances. Provide assistance in pediatric dentistry, ensuring a comfortable experience for young patients. Utilize CAD technology when applicable to assist in the design of dental restorations.

Experience

Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred but not mandatory; we welcome candidates eager to learn. Familiarity with dental software systems such as Dentrix or Epic is advantageous. Knowledge of orthodontics, pediatrics, and medical terminology will be considered a plus. Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team environment. Certification in Dental Assisting is preferred; candidates should be willing to pursue necessary certifications if not already obtained.
