Dental Assistant
to our growing team.
Position Overview:
As a
Dental Assistant
at Dentistree Family Dental Clinic, you will play a vital role in assisting the dental team with various tasks to ensure the smooth operation of the clinic and provide excellent care to our patients. This is an exciting opportunity to join a state-of-the-art clinic in a collaborative environment focused on high-quality care and patient satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Assisting with Dental Procedures:
Prepare and set up treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and assist the dentist during routine dental procedures.
Provide necessary instruments, materials, and support to the dentist during exams, fillings, cleanings, and other treatments.
Take and process dental X-rays as required.
Assist with basic clinical procedures such as placing dental sealants and applying fluoride treatments.
Patient Care:
Ensure patients are comfortable before, during, and after procedures.
Provide patients with post-treatment care instructions.
Sterilize dental instruments and follow infection control procedures.
Clinical Support:
Maintain accurate patient records, documenting procedures and treatment information.
Manage the flow of patients, assist with scheduling and follow-up care.
Help maintain the clinic's dental supply inventory and order materials as needed.
Administrative Assistance:
Assist in office duties such as patient intake and record keeping when needed.
Ensure that the treatment area is organized and fully stocked for patient appointments.
Qualifications:
Certified Dental Assistant
with certification from an accredited institution.
Ability to take and process dental X-rays in accordance with Ontario regulations.
Experience with
ClearDent
software is an asset, but not mandatory.
Bilingual (English and French)
is an asset but not mandatory.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work well as part of a team, as well as independently.
A patient-focused approach with excellent attention to detail.
